The problem is about exhaust bank 4, sensor 2 heater circuit, electrical error retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start bank 1; system too lean at idle . So for next exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 2 (g449), high is the final reason of the code. |
65404 Possible Causes:
65404 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)

- Inspect all the connections bank 1, cam shaft position sensor, discharge opening (g300), interruption / short-circuit to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
