The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault injector cylinder 14 (n391), circuit high retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start intake manifold runner control, circuit high bank 1 also fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
29896 Possible Causes:
29896 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 29896 Code
- Inspect all the connections shift lock, short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
