Staring in engine generator shut-off, open or short to ground mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor pressure control solenoid 2 (n216), open / short to ground also exhaust gas recirculation vent control, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
29818 Possible Causes:
29818 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 29818 Code
- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / pump current, short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
