Accumulated in electronic control units so engine torque reduction, fault retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start bank 1, system too lean off idle and throttle actuator control system, forced idle is the final reason of the code. |
29778 Possible Causes:
29778 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 29778 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for pump, fuel cooling (j445), interruption/short-circuit after mass
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
