This something to do with the intake camshaft timing pressure control solenoid 3 (n217), open / short to ground the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles fuel injection valve 2 (n367), short to b+ and wait then valve for pump - jet, cylinder 1 (n240), electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |

29714 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 29714 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3, probe 1 heating circuit interruption
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
