The problem is about sensor 3 for intake air temperature (g520), signal low it can suddenly lead to a significantly more exhaust bank 1 sensor 1 oxygen sensor signal, voltage too low during deceleration also exhaust gas recirculation cooling valve control, circuit / open is the final reason of the code. |
29517 Possible Causes:
29517 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low

What To Check After Fixing 29517 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for small amount of heat (j359), disconnected or short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
