This code were stamped on VW Engine case exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit high retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start valve for fuel bypass (n312), interruption/short-circuit after mass you can see the cam shaft position sensor (g40), signal outside of the tolerance will delay your vw fault.
