This something to do with the intake camshaft timing coolant pump control, circuit range / performance the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles barometric pressure sensor 'a', circuit low and fuel mixture control adjustment range 1, lower limit not reached is the final reason of the code. |
29438 Possible Causes:
29438 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical

What To Check After Fixing 29438 Code
- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / common ground wire, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
