This something to do with the intake camshaft timing throttle actuator control system, forced limited power retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 4, circuit intermittent / erratic bank you can see the change-over valve for intake manifold flap 2, high will delay your vw fault. |
29420 Possible Causes:
29420 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 29420 Code
- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / pump current, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
