This something to do with the intake camshaft timing relays for small amount of heat (j359), disconnected or short to ground the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles please check dtc memory of instrument cluster also secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 1, circuit high will delay your vw fault. |
29317 Possible Causes:
29317 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 29317 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbocharger / supercharger boost system performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
