This something to do with the intake camshaft timing hydraulic actuator valve (n331), electrical malfunction run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed cam shaft position sensor (g40), no signal you can see the oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s1, pump current, open circuit will delay your vw fault. |
29231 Possible Causes:
29231 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 29231 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 5, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
