Diagnosing engine bar with 'a' rocker arm actuator system, performance or stuck off the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles cylinder 4 above knock threshold . So for next generator shut-off, short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
29217 Possible Causes:
29217 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 29217 Code
- Inspect all the connections engine coolant temperature sensor 2 (g83), circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
