29217 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing a/c clutch relay, circuit short to b+ mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor secondary air injection valve 4 (n385), circuit open circuit also malfunction indication light (k83), open / short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
29217 Possible Causes:
29217 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 29217 Code
- Inspect all the connections starter relay 2, electrical malfunction in circuit (relay stuck / does not switch)
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
