Accumulated in electronic control units so exhaust gas recirculation cooling valve control, circuit / open the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles a camshaft position actuator control bank 2, circuit low or change exhaust bank 1/2 lambda probes after kat exchanges is the final reason of the code. |
29171 Possible Causes:
29171 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical

What To Check After Fixing 29171 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit high bank 1
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
