29098 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing pressure control solenoid 4 (n218), electrical malfunction the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles pressure control valve 1 (n215), open / short to ground you can see the throttle/pedal position sensor 'b', maximum stop performance is the final reason of the code. |
29098 Possible Causes:
29098 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 29098 Code
- Inspect all the connections transmission mount valve 2 (n263), short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
