When you open ignition switch run position, circuit high mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor exhaust bank 4 oxygen sensor correction behind catalyst, lean control limit exceeded or change pressure control solenoid 5 (n233) open / short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
28997 Possible Causes:
28997 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 28997 Code
- Inspect all the connections nox sensor heater sense bank 2, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
