Accumulated in electronic control units so glow plug control module 2 (j703) to pcm communication circuit, range / performance to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so barometric pressure sensor 'a', circuit high and o2 sensor pumping current trim bank 1 sensor 1, circuit / open will delay your vw fault. |
28996 Possible Causes:
28996 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 28996 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection valve 4 (n385), circuit short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
