28990 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 2, circuit intermittent causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system diesel particulate filter differential pressure too high bank 2 or b camshaft position actuator control bank 2, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |

28990 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 28990 Code
- Inspect all the connections sensor 3 for intake air temperature (g520), signal low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
