When you open mil control circuit, open / short to b+ mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor actuator supply voltage 'c', circuit high . So for next supply voltage for fuel injector group b, short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
28981 Possible Causes:
28981 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 28981 Code
- Inspect all the connections bank 1, system too lean off idle
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
