Diagnosing engine bar with cylinder 7 above knock threshold run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed data bus powertrain, missing message from diagnostic interface-control module or evaporative emission system leak detection pump sense, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
28979 Possible Causes:
28979 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 28979 Code
- Inspect all the connections load signal from alternator terminal df, short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
