Staring in engine coolant (fc) fan control module (j293), malfunction the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles temperature sensors for drive cycle radiator exhaust (g382), signal too small and hydraulic actuator valve (n331), electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |

28968 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 28968 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 1, circuit intermittent / erratic
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
