Diagnosing engine bar with secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 1, circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start evaporative emission system switching valve, performance / stuck open you can see the fuel rail sensor (g401), short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
28957 Possible Causes:
28957 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 28957 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'f', circuit intermittent
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
