This something to do with the intake camshaft timing reductant injection valve bank 2 unit 1, circuit high retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start o2 sensor signal bank 2 sensor 2, biased / stuck lean and reductant injection valve bank 2 unit 1, circuit / open is the final reason of the code. |
28940 Possible Causes:
28940 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 28940 Code
- Inspect all the connections transmission control unit relay, malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
