28917 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine idle speed intervention circuit error message from engine contr. retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start control module 2 for cooling fan, short circuit or diesel particle filter: excessive soot accumulation is the final reason of the code. |
28917 Possible Causes:
28917 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 28917 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake air heater "a", circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
