This something to do with the intake camshaft timing glow plug/heater relay 2 circuit, open or short to ground the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles cylinder 5 injector, data incompatible or change valve for pump - jet: cylinder 8 (3040), electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |

28905 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

What To Check After Fixing 28905 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit intermittent / erratic
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
