This something to do with the intake camshaft timing bank 1, cam shaft position sensor, discharge opening (g300), interruption / short-circuit to b+ It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake mil request signal active (check for tcm errors too!) and intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit bank 2 will delay your vw fault. |
28901 Possible Causes:
28901 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 28901 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'b' primary control, short to plus
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
