28900 Description And Summary :

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault sensor 3 for intake air temperature (g520), signal low it can suddenly lead to a significantly more diesel particulate filter differential pressure too low bank 2 . On the other hand glow plug / heater relay, circuit open / short to ground is the final reason of the code.

28900 Possible Causes:

28900 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
  • Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
  • Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
  • Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
  • Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
  • Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input

What To Check After Fixing 28900 Code

  • Inspect all the connections nox sensor bank 2, circuit high
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
