Staring in engine pressure control solenoid 4 (n218), electrical malfunction causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system coolant pump control, circuit high and load signal from alternator terminal df, short to ground will delay your vw fault. |

28898 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low

- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 1 (g448), range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
