When you open exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 2, circuit low It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake valve 2 for load pressure control (n274), interruption/short-circuit after mass or exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
28898 Possible Causes:
28898 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 28898 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 2 (g449), short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
