Staring in engine butterfly valve control unit 2 (j544), lower notice one does not reach causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system exhaust gas temperature bank 2, too high and oxygen sensor bank 3 sensor 1, voltage too low will delay your vw fault. |

28896 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low

- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses

- Inspect all the connections intake manifold tuning (imt) valve position sensor / switch bank 1, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
