When you open 'b' rocker arm actuator control, circuit high retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start throttle/pedal position sensor 'a', minimum stop performance and pressure control solenoid 2 (n216), short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |
28890 Possible Causes:
28890 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction

- Inspect all the connections crankshaft position signal output, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
