Staring in engine ecm/pcm power relay sense, circuit range / performance it can suddenly lead to a significantly more linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / pump current, short to ground and linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / common ground wire, short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
28888 Possible Causes:
28888 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 28888 Code
- Inspect all the connections radiator exhaust control 2, short-circuit after pluses
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
