This something to do with the intake camshaft timing control module defective It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake control module, coding fault and wait then system too rich at higher load, bank 1 will delay your vw fault. |
28876 Possible Causes:
28876 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 28876 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4 mixture adaptation range 3, rich limit exceeded
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
