The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault coolant fan 2 (v177), open circuit to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so engine coolant bypass valve, control circuit / open also generator lamp/l-terminal, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
28854 Possible Causes:
28854 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off

- Inspect all the connections event data recorder request, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
