Accumulated in electronic control units so o2 sensor reference voltage bank 2 sensor 1, circuit high causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system diesel particulate filter differential pressure too low bank 2 or exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 2, circuit is the final reason of the code. |
28851 Possible Causes:
28851 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)

What To Check After Fixing 28851 Code
- Inspect all the connections bank 2 sensor 1, internal resistance implausible
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
