Accumulated in electronic control units so shift lock, malfunction causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system fuel shutoff valve "b" control, circuit low also activation, intake manifold runner bank 1 control, range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
28849 Possible Causes:
28849 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 28849 Code
- Inspect all the connections powertrain data bus, missing message from instrument cluster
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
