When you open data bus powertrain, implausible message from combi instrument the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles fuel tank pressure (ftp) sensor (g400), short to b+ . On the other hand throttle angle signal stuck on is the final reason of the code. |
28840 Possible Causes:
28840 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 28840 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor negative current control bank 2 sensor 1, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
