This code were stamped on VW Engine case ignition coil 'l' secondary circuit, malfunction mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor injector control pressure sensor, circuit low or change cylinder 10 above knock threshold is the final reason of the code. |
28820 Possible Causes:
28820 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 28820 Code
- Inspect all the connections signal buzzer activation, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
