Staring in engine intake manifold flap position sensor (bank 1): implausible signal run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit intermittent bank 2 and exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 2, circuit high will delay your vw fault. |
28816 Possible Causes:
28816 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 28816 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for coolant additive pump (j496), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
