This something to do with the intake camshaft timing control module defective causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system oxygen (lambda) sensor b4 s1, heater return coupling or change mil call-up circuit / transmission control module, range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
28742 Possible Causes:
28742 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 28742 Code
- Inspect all the connections coolant (fc) fan control module (j293), malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
