When you open supply voltage for fuel injector group a, open circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start glow plug / heater relay, circuit short to b+ or change hydraulic pressure sensor 2, range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
28728 Possible Causes:
28728 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 28728 Code
- Inspect all the connections manifold absolute pressure / mass air flow - throttle position correlation at idle
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
