This something to do with the intake camshaft timing starter interlock, circuit open the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles power supply, voltage high voltage and fuel fired heater, disabled will delay your vw fault. |
28699 Possible Causes:
28699 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 28699 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 1, circuit intermittent
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
