This something to do with the intake camshaft timing vehicle speed signal wheel speed from brake control module; range / performance mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor relays for coolant additive pump (j496), short to b+ and fuel injection valve 4 (n369), open circuit is the final reason of the code. |
28673 Possible Causes:
28673 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 28673 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle plate control 2, malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
