This something to do with the intake camshaft timing tiptronic switch recognition (f189), open circuit / signal to b+ mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 1, circuit range / performance and transmission output speed sensor 2 (g196), circuit rpm too high is the final reason of the code. |
28668 Possible Causes:
28668 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 28668 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for starting with empty tank-nxxx, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
