Staring in engine supply voltage for fuel injector group b, open circuit the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'd', circuit range / performance you can see the valve for exhaust flap 1 (n321), short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
28640 Possible Causes:
28640 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low

- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 28640 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust aftertreatment fuel injector 'a', circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
