When you open valve for exhaust flap 2 (n322), open circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start injector cylinder 13 (n390), open circuit or data-bus powertrain, implausible message from transmission controller is the final reason of the code. |
28638 Possible Causes:
28638 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 28638 Code
- Inspect all the connections mass-airflow sensor 4 (g457), signal to high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
