This something to do with the intake camshaft timing ng high pressure valve (n372), short to b+ it can suddenly lead to a significantly more throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'f', circuit high and throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'd', circuit intermittent is the final reason of the code. |
28617 Possible Causes:
28617 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 28617 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition switch run position, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
