The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault o2 sensor exhaust sample error bank 2 sensor 1 retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust bank 4, sensor 2 heater circuit, electrical error also data bus powertrain, missing message from instruments panel ecu will delay your vw fault. |
28589 Possible Causes:
28589 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 28589 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel shutoff valve "b" control, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
