The problem is about relays for small amount of heat (j359), disconnected or short to ground it can suddenly lead to a significantly more secondary air injection system pump bank 1, stuck off or change ignition coil 'f' secondary circuit, malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
28542 Possible Causes:
28542 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 28542 Code
- Inspect all the connections system too rich at higher load, bank 1
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
