Staring in engine exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, internal resistance too large run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit low bank 1 you can see the fuel pressure regulator 2 control circuit low will delay your vw fault. |
28540 Possible Causes:
28540 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 28540 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection pump-c-relay (j704), circuit short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
