This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust bank 3 mixture adaptation range 3, rich limit exceeded it can suddenly lead to a significantly more intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit intermittent bank 2 or change injector control pressure, too high is the final reason of the code. |
28518 Possible Causes:
28518 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 28518 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit high bank 2
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
