This something to do with the intake camshaft timing planetary overdrive / low range, mechanical malfunction It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake sensor 2 for hydraulic pressure in transmission, open or short to b+ and wait then power supply terminal 30, voltage too low is the final reason of the code. |
28512 Possible Causes:
28512 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 28512 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle position (tp) sensor 1-2, correlation
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
